This demo of Inkpad, by the makers of the Brushes App looks very very powerful. I love how the iPad is beginning to come into it’s own. I could totally see myself using this for real work.

How iPad Affects the Way we Design Websites? | Inspired Magazine →

Some really good observations for designers. How will we deal with multiple layouts? How will you show a mouse-hover effect?

Also, if you haven’t already, feel free to check out my article on the iPad here. Feedback welcome :)

It will replace my Kindle, and 3rd party development will extend the device to do things we can’t even dream up right now. I, for one, welcome our new iPad overlord - but then again I’m a card carrying fanboy.

Tablet/iSlate/iPad Predictions

Alrighty. It’s almost that time of year. It’s perhaps more exciting for most fanboys than Christmas. The time when Apple announces what it’s been working on. I’ve heard rumors of this tablet for more than a year and I’m here to make my guesses as to what it will be like.

It’s late so I’m gonna make this short and try to make it sweet.

1. The tablet (it’s a given that there will be a tablet) will be about 10” in size.
2. It will be subsidized by a 3G carrier. Probably ATT, possibly also Verizon.
3. It’s going to run a version of the iPhone OS. This has been pretty well confirmed by developers.
4. Apple’s definitely going to show it off with some new apps designed specifically for the tablet. Most likely many of these will come from major print media producers.
5. This is a stab in the dark, but Apple will probably update the iTunes store for some sort of subscription model for these new providers
6. I’d really like to see some form of e-ink, but haven’t seen any news about it, so I won’t hold my breath.

Gotta stop there for tonite. I’ll try and expand tomorrow!
